Deng Xiaoping's Social Conduct Values and the Nourishment of Core Values

邓小平在不同历史时期,结合党章修改、坚持四项基本原则和精神文明建设的语境,集中论述了关于社会风气的三个基本观点:改善社会风气需要群众的自觉自愿行动,需要党员干部的示范行动,需要和经济建设协调发展。邓小平从理论上阐明了社会风气和群众、党风、经济建设的关系,回答了为什么要促进社会风气改善、如何促进社会风气改善的问题。从方法论上看,邓小平的社会风气观给我们的启示在于:第一,要用辩证法审视社会风气的变化;第二,要结合时代环境来观察社会风气的变化。在此基础上,我们要从作为潮流和潜流的社会风气、现实世界和虚拟世界的社会风气结合的角度把握当今社会风气的内涵,并从三个视角论述如何以社会风气滋养核心价值观,一是从改善普通人的凡言凡行做起,二是从净化家风和校风做起,三是借鉴传统的面子文化。

In different historical periods, combined with the modification of the Party constitution, the upholding of four fundamental principles and the context of spiritual civilization, Deng Xiaoping has mainly discussed the three basic concepts of social conduct: the improvement of social conduct should rely on the initiative action of the masses, the demonstration of the Party and cadres members and the coordinated development of the economy and society. Deng Xiaping theoretically clarified the relationship between the social conduct and the masses, cadres and the economic construction. He also answered the problem why should we improve the social conduct and how to improve it. From the perspective of methodology, Deng Xiaoping's view of social conduct provides us with two enlightenments: First, inspect the change of the social conduct on the basis of dialectics; second, observe it under the specific context and times. On this basis, we further put forward that seize the connotation of current social morality with the combination of the tide and the undercurrent, the real world and virtual world. And discuss how to nourish the core value with social conduct from three observed angles: improving the ordinary behaviors, purifying the family tradition and school spirit and learning from the traditional shame culture.
