To explore the characteristics of preschool children's applied behavior in collective games and its relationship with social competence, 59 preschool children from a kindergarten in Hebei Province were investigated by using questionnaire. Their performance in collective games was observed and graded by applying Child Collective Game Applied Behavior Evaluation Scale. Results were as follows: (1)There was a significant positive correlation between preschool children's participation and liveness in collective games, while there was a significant negative one between their liveness and regularity in collective games, their aggregate performance in collective games was significantly positive correlated with both their participation andtheir liveness.(2)There was a gender difference in regularity.(3)Preschool children's social competence was significantly positive correlated with both their aggregate performance and their participation in collective games. Preschool children's aggregate performance and participation in collective games had predictable functions on social competence.
