The research advance of the energy to protein ratio was reviewed in this article. In this paper, the relationship between the energy to protein ratio and the growth, protein efficiency ratio（PER）, body composition and the activity of digestive enzyme was expounded. This paper also described the research method of the energy to protein ratio. It can provide reference about the study of the energy to protein ratio.
