ON THE STUDY OF ZHONG KUI

根据多部清代以来《锺氏族谱》考察,锺馗实有其人,且世代命官。锺馗之所以为正义化身,并被尊奉,反映了历代社会鲜明的文化心态和价值取向。

From several books about genealogy research on the family of Zhong, since the Qing Dynasty, we know Zhong Kui did exist in the history, living in a family always with someone appointed as an official in the government from generation to generation. The reason why Zhong Kui has become the image of justice and been worshiped by many reflects the distinct culture mentality and value orientation of the ancient society.
