摘要
社会转型时期的重译,不是一种简单的语言转换行为,而是一种思想资源的借鉴。上个世纪初,中国主流文学刊物《小说月报》(1911-1931)重译作品所提供的思想资源对社会的改革与发展起到了特殊的作用。将历史封存的这一翻译实践置于宽阔的历史空间加以认识与定位,突破长期以来翻译研究局限于语言行为的樊篱,在语言学层面难以解释的此类现象,从语言转换中的政治移植,或许能够得到较为合理的解释。
Retranslation, at the transitional period of society, is not simply a kind of language transformation. Instead, it can provide the target society with new ideology and spirit. As one of the most influential periodicals in the early Republic of China, most of the retranslated works in The Short Story Magazine paid more attention to drawing on ideological resources to reform the society. Taking the history into account and breaking the pattern of language-oriented translation evaluation, retranslation in The Short Story Magazine can be better explained, since it was focused on introducing spiritual motivation rather than the accuracy of language.
