Where Shall We Find Nostalgia in Shanghai?——Protect Historic Heritage in the Development of Urban and Rural Evolution

上海的未来发展,需要通过留存历史记忆、培育文化底蕴、提升城市魅力,进而逐步增强城市文化软实力,建成具有较强国际影响力的全球城市。简述当前上海市区行将消逝的石库门里弄和浦东地区乡土市镇岌岌可危的现状,在呼吁抢救的同时,更为城乡遗产的保护管理建言献策,提出"在发展中守护城乡遗产"的指导思想和具体策略。

It is quite important for the city of Shanghai to protect its built heritage, Keep the city memory, nourish its cultural charm, so as to promote the city＇s cultural soft power, and then gradually enhance its international influence among those global cities. This paper briefly described the current situation of urban and rural heritage in Shanghai, called for rescuing ＂ Shikumen＂ , ＂ Lilong＂ （kind of characteristic neighborhood ） in Shanghai downtown, and historic towns in Pudong area. In the end the paper gave advice and suggestions that Shanghai should pay more attention to heritage conservation along with its future development so as to become a better city.
