The Application of " Student-Centered" English Teaching Methods in Higher Vocational Colleges

高职院校的人才培养目标是为社会培养高素质的、全面发展的复合型应用人才。为实现这一人才培养目标,提高人才培养质量,高职专业英语应该改变传统的教学方法,在教学过程中强调以学生为主体。教师要转变教学理念,以学生为中心组织教学,发挥学生的主观能动性,运用多种教学手段,充分调动学生学习兴趣,培养学生学习自主性,改善教学效果,促进学生的综合素质发展。

The personnel training objective of vocational colleges is to foster high-quality, full development and compound personnel for the soceity. To achieve this personnel training goal and improve the quality of personnel training, specialty English in higher vocational college should change the traditional teaching methods, emphasize student-centered teaching process. Teachers should change their teaching philosophy, organize student-centered teaching activities, take the initiative of students, use a variety of teaching methods, and fully mobilize the students＇ interest in learning, arouse students＇ learning autonomy, improve teaching effectiveness, and promote the development of the overall quality of students.
