孔子忠孝关系新论

New Theory on Confucius' Fidelity and Piety

一般以为,孔子在忠孝冲突时主张"孝"的优先性。本文通过分析孔子时代忠孝冲突的典型事件,考察了当时的精英以及孔子在此问题上的看法,特别是孔子在《左传·昭公十四年》"叔向论狱"中强调"忠"(或说对"孝"限制)的态度。本文认为孔子在忠孝关系问题上并非单向度强调"孝亲"的优先性,而是语境化的"时中"处理。

It was generally believed that Confucius always gave priority to piety when choice had to be made betweenfidelity and piety. This paper analyses typical incidents in Confucius＇ age which involved conflicts between fidelity andpiety and how Confucius and his elites responded to them, especially Confucius＇ attitude of emphasizing fidelity in＂Shuxiang＇s discussion of prison＂ in Zuo＇s Commentary on Spring and Autumn Annals-Master Zhao Fourteen Years.This paper argues that Confucius＇ emphasis on piety is not absolute but context-based.
