Empirical treatment of community acquired pneumonia in the elderly need not covered in the enzyme producing Enterobacteriaceae

社区获得性肺炎（community acquired pneumonia,CAP）是严重威胁老年人健康的重要疾病之一。据报道,美国每年约200万至300万例CAP患者,在110万例需住院治疗的患者中,约70万例是老年患者[1]。近来,英国一项调查研究发现：65~69岁间社区获得性下呼吸道感染（lower respiratory tract infections,LRTIs）发生率是92.21次/1000人年,而85~89岁则上升到187．91次／1000人年；CAP的发生率达25～44／1000人年，年龄〉85岁的可高达52／1000人／年或更高。
