摘要
To the editor: Thoracic epidural analgesia is potent for patients undergoing thoracic surgeries, which can promote the rehabilitation as well as reduce the complications of surgery, such as pulmonary infection, atelectasis, cardiaovascular complications, intestinal disorders.1 However, its widespread application may be limited by some complications, including epidural space hemorrhage, hematoma and intraoperative hypotension. We report the occurrence of epidural catheter inserted into thorax when applying thoracic epidural analgesia for a patient undergoing esophagectomy.
