张爱玲红学观点和思想集中体现在《红楼梦魇》之中,这部著作集中考辨了《红楼梦》的成书问题,旨在申明其《红楼梦》"是创作不是自传"的红学主张。这一研究的终极目标是值得肯定的,即"洗出《红楼梦》的本来面目",彰显《红楼梦》真实的艺术魅力。《红楼梦魇》是对俞平伯文学考证路向的承继,因其更加地贴近《红楼梦》,所以显得多姿多彩。当然,这种"贴近"究竟多大程度上印证了曹雪芹创作时的真实想法,却难以证实。因为"看不懂"的缘故,学者对《红楼梦魇》的批评并不多,其中周汝昌的批评最具个性。

The redology views and ideas of ZHANG Ailing were reflected in her works A Nightmare in A Dream of Red Mansions, which embodied the textual research to formation of A Dream of Red Mansions and the conclusion was that A Dream of Red Mansions should be literary creation instead of autobiography. Her ultimate aims that re- covered the original look of A Dream of Red Mansions and expressed its artistic charm were worthy. ZHANG Ailing inherited YU Pingbo＇ s textual research method and attempted to press close to A Dream of Red Mansions, and the above practices made the works A Nightmare in A Dream of Red Mansions colorful. It was difficult to determine what extent was ZHANG Ailing close to real thoughts of CAO Xueqin, to be sure. Until now, few scholars paid attention to the study of A Nightmare in A Dream of Red Mansions because of obstacles in understanding, and ZHOU Ruchang＇ s criticism on it were special.
