摘要
旅游研究者将旅游者和促游者捆绑在一起去追寻"旅游的本质"的做法注定劳而无功,因为促游者和旅游者的"旅游",看似同一个词,实则是两个内涵和旨趣迥异的概念。促游者"搞旅游",目标是赚钱,本质是经济;旅游者"旅游",目标是求新、求异、求知、求美,或消遣、游玩和身心健康,其本质是审美,其功能是美育。追寻旅游和促游各自的本质,必须首先将二者剥离,更要注意到旅游的美育功能。
The pursuit of the essence of tourism is doomed to be fruitless because the researchers have bundled together the tourists and the promoters. It seems that the word "tourism" is same to both the tourists and the promoters, but in fact it means quite opposite to the two kinds of people. To the promoters, tourism goal is to make money, its essence is economy. To the tourists, the goal is to seek innovation, difference, knowledge and beauty or to seek amusement, play, sound in body and mind, and its essence is aesthetic education in the first place. Therefore, to explore the essence of tourism, we must separate the two groups of people and pay special attention to the aesthetic education function of tourism.
