On the Secularization of You Xian Shi(Poetry about Immortals)in Mid- late Tang Dynasty

中晚唐游仙诗是游仙诗发展史上非常重要的一环,与之前的游仙诗相比,最重要的一个特点是全面世俗化。现世的黑暗、等级的分明在游仙诗中重现,"仙"也下降为"人",仙家的各种活动也打上了人间的烙印。当然,中晚唐游仙诗的全面世俗化与中唐之后诗歌通俗化的趋势是同步的,对宋元以后的文学发展产生了深远的影响。

The You Xian Shi （poems about immortals） in mid -late Tang Dynasty is a very important part of the history of You Xian Shi. One of its most important characteristics is secularization. The darkness of the secular world and the dearly defined ranks are demonstrated in You Xian Shi,where “immortals” are reduced to “mortals” ,and the activities of the immortals also bear the feature of those of mortals. It is certain that the overall secularization of the You Xian Shi in mid - late Tang Dynasty coexisted with the trend of the popularization of the poetry after mid - late Tang Dynasty, which has profound influence on the development of literature in Song and Yuan Dynasties.
