摘要
自从1999年高校扩招后,大学英语变成了大班教学,教学质量与效果每况愈下。PBL即基于问题式的学习,运用该教学法可缓解这一难题,在此种教学模式中,教师的角色变成了教学任务设计、教学活动的组织与监督和教学活动效果评价,学生的角色变成了教学任务的执行和对教学任务的建议或协同制定。PBL教学模式相对于传统的填鸭式教学效果更好,尤其在英语大班教学中更具优越性。
College English teaching has been carried out in big classes ever since enrollment expansion in 1999, which has led to the worsening of teaching quality and teaching effects. The approach of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) can help to ease this problem. Since it tries to change the teachers' role into the designer of instructional tasks , the organizer and monitor of teaching activities, and the evaluator of teaching effects, while the students' role is changed by being required to carry out the teaching tasks , to give advice or to cooperate in making plans. Thus it is better than traditional cramming method of teaching and shows more superiority especially in big-class college English teaching.
