Pathways of Transformation and Development for Application-oriented Universities: Take an Example of Xuchang University

通过应用型本科院校发展转型内涵的剖析,提出了地方高校应以地方经济发展为依据,以积极的态度参与企业生产。"产-学-研"相结合,开展科技服务,依靠办学积累,构建专业学科体系,突出实践教学,培养创新型人才。加强技术创新平台和工程技术中心建设,实现由"学术型研究"向"应用型研究"转型,为地方经济发展服务。

After analyzing the connotation of transformation and development of application-oriented universities, this article proposed a transformation goal that a local university should promote local economic devel-opment in positive attitudes, especially strengthen cooperation with firms. In the context of production, teaching and research combination, the universities should build disciplinary systems to carry out sci-ence-tech services, cultivate creative talents and stress practical education.
