Petty-farmer consciousness: Potential obstacles of inner-party democracy consciousness in rural

改革开放以来,农村基层党内民主建设取得了显著成就。但是受农村小农意识的潜在影响,农村党员的党内民主意识依然相对滞后于社会主义民主观念的时代要求。因此,逐渐消除农民的小农意识,增强农村党员的党内民主意识,营造健康的党内政治文化环境,是农村基层党内民主建设的重要任务。

Since the reform and opening up, grassroots inner-party democracy has made remarkable achievements in rural. Influenced by the rural Petty-farmer consciousness, the inner-party democracy consciousness of rural Party members still lags behind the socialist democracy demands. Therefore, eliminating the potential barrier of Pettyfarmer consciousness, enhancing inner-party democracy consciousness of the Party member and creating healthy political and cultural environment, are the necessary important task in the grassroots inner-party democracy construction process in rural.
