In order to improve the quality of geophysical prospecting operation and ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected data, the quality control laboratory for geophysical exploration has been found, which equipped with series of equipment for wire and cable. Good test capability and high-precision test data has been gained in practical appli- cations. This paper introduces the importance, detection situation, main testing equipment and testing items of seis- mic cable as well as several main test methods.
