This paper introduces the related hardware connection, diagnostic test, array disk configuration, system recov- ery and application software installation and upgrading of G3i instrument. Based on the instrument functions, appli- cation characteristics are described from the wired remote shooting, efficient acquisition to construction parameter preservation. Detailed understanding on connection and maintenance methods of main parts of the instruments, will help technicians for quick troubleshooting and master the repair skills, and then improve the utilization rate of equip- ment, give full play to the potential functions of the instrument.
