Tangshan is a typical resource-based city,it is based on coal and famous for steel. As a leader in the modern industrial cities,Tangshan has made tremendous contributions for the social development in the fields of coal and steel. Meanwhile,a lot of contradictions and problems has also been accumulated which is facing much serious challenge in the new round industrial transition. Innovation is the key to achieve the transformation and city upgrading and the cultivate a culture of innovation is the core of lasting power to keep innovation. Because of its own characteristics and historical factors,the innovation culture in Tangshan is still at the beginning step which can be improved through changing ways of thinking,improving the innovation environment and material,etc to proceed forward.
