The independent thought of He Zhen has a significant contribution to the modern women＇s liberation movement.Women＇s liberation which she advocated should be based on the economic independence,and they should liberate themselves by their own hands. The independent thought laid the ideological foundation of getting economic autonomy thought for women,at the same time,it has a great influence on the May 4th Movement,as well as the modern women＇s liberation movement. This article takes He Zhen ideas of women＇s economic independence as the core,focusing on its connotation and its influence to the later the May 4th movement.
