In China, the financial aid policy has the great significance for solving the prob- lems of learning, living and employment of poverty-stricken students and also for promoting na- tional unity and maintaining harmony and stability of the country. But at present, the financial aid policy adopted by colleges and universities has not fully considered the particularity of minority poverty-stricken students. This paper emphatically analyzes the existing problems in implementation of the financial aid policy for poverty-stricken minority students at higher vocational institutions, and puts forth some strategies for fund sources, aid project, poverty-stricken students recognition system and spiritual aid, thus promoting the funding work to this group of students.
