With the development of science and technology, especial y computer network technology, digital image information is increasingly becoming an important form of information transmission, many businesses and personal information should be stored in the form of digital images. Therefore, the digital image to protect the confidentiality of information technology has become a top priority, is one of the hot topics discussed current international research. This paper describes the current development of a comprehensive digital image encryption technology, in-depth analysis of the relevant data encryption technology used in digital image processing approaches, principles, system operating characteristics, etc., and a careful analysis of its comparative advantages and disadvantages, which predict its direction.
