高等教育对提升各民族文化素质、推动民族文化传承与创新方面显示出非常重要的作用。如何实现民间工艺美术生产性保护,地方高校承担着知识传授、科学研究、传承文明的使命,目前,各地高校尤其是地方高校不断探索特色办学之路,民间工艺美术纳入到高校学科建设,利用高校的资源优势对民间工艺进行生产性保护,是对民间工艺传承保护的重要探索。

At present, the universities around China especially the local universities are exploring the way to run schools with local characteristics, folk arts and crafts are absorbed into discipline construction in universities. Taking advantage of the resources of universities to protect folk arts and crafts is very important for the inheritance and protection of folk arts and crafts.
