Along with greatly facilitated people＇ s lives, the computer networks security risk is also increasingly outstanding. ACL, one of packet-filtering technologies, is widely used to enhance network security. The paper discussed the fundamentals, major functions, categories and packet filtering process of ACL firstly. Then a actual network topology as an example, according to three different situations, the methods of improving the network security with ACL technology and analyzed the key codes of configuration detailedly.
