座椅是人们生活中最常见的家具,虽然在东西方历史进程中,受到不同文化的影响,造成了变迁各有不同,但归根结底,都体现着家具对人的关怀。中国人从席地而坐,发展到后来的垂足而坐,是人们对生活环境的适应。同样,欧洲人从一开始就是垂足而坐,也是习惯造成的,不能因此断言哪种方式更文明。在中国,从席地而坐到垂足而坐经历了近千年的历程,根本上来说也是民族文化造成的。

Seats are the most common furniture in people＇s lives.Although they have been influenced by different cultures,resulting in changes vary in the eastern and western history,but they all reflect the concern of people ultimately.In China,the development from sitting on the ground to sitting on the seats embodies people adapting themselves to the living environment.And similarly,sitting on the seats for the Europeans right from the start which is also resulting from habits,and we can not therefore assert which way is more civilized.In China,from sitting on the ground to the seats has gone through nearly a thousand years of history,it is also caused by national culture fundamentally.
