Preparation and characterization of activated carbon for separation of CO_2

摘要 以太西无烟煤为原料,KCl作为添加剂,通过成型、炭化、活化过程制备吸附法捕集烟道气CO2的活性炭.利用正交试验确定最佳的制备条件,以Co。吸附量和孔径分布等对样品进行表征.结果表明:最佳制备条件为无烟煤97g,添加剂3g,焦油用量28g,炭化温度650℃,活化温度880℃,活化时间3h,在最佳条件下制得活性炭的CO2吸附量为84.4mL/g(0℃,0.1MPa).活性炭的CO2吸附量与孔径分布关系密切,0.61~0.79nm的微孔孔容决定了活性炭对CO2的吸附性能,本研究中使用的添加剂有利于0.61~0.79nm微孔的形成. Activated carbons tor CO2 separation were prepared from Taixi anthracite by extru- ding, carbonization and activation with KC1 as an additive. An orthogonal experiment method was employed to research the optimum preparation conditions. The properties of the carbons were characterized by CO2 adsorption capacity and pore size distribution (PSD). The results show that the optimum preparation conditions for additive method are 97 g of anthracite, 3 g of additive, 28 g of tar, carbonization at 650 ℃, activation at 880 ℃ and activation for 3 hours. The CO2 adsorption capacity of the activated carbon at the conditions is 84.4 mL/g(0 ℃ ,0. 1 MPa). It is found that CO2 adsorption capacity of the activated carbons has great relevance to the PSD. The pore width between 0.61 and 0.79 nm is optimum to the CO2 adsorption. The additive that used in this study is conducive to the formation of the micropores between 0.61 and 0. 79 nm.
