美国对缅甸政策的调整经过了全面制裁、逐步取消制裁、与缅甸多方位接触这样三个阶段。美国对缅甸实施制裁的时期,也是中缅关系全面攀升,成为缅甸对外关系中最主要的双边关系的时期。在美缅关系中,中国因素始终是美国调整对缅甸政策的深层次动力,美国在对缅甸政策调整中充斥着对中国因素的关注、评估、疑虑、平衡和遏制等因子。因此,探析美国对缅甸政策调整中的中国因素,对于研究中美缅三边关系,是一个回避不了的关键环节。

America's policies toward Myanmar underwent three stages,namely comprehensive sanctions against Myanmar,part sanctions and multifaceted engagement. During U. S. Sanctions Against Myanmar,China-Myanmar relations overall developed. China-Myanmar relations were main foreign relations in Myanmar bilateral relations. In relations between United States and Myanmar,China factors became America's major consideration for readjusting policies toward Myanmar. United States always concerned China factors. Therefore,analysis of China factors in America's readjustment of policies toward Myanmar is an important project to research trilateral relations among China,United States,Myanmar.
