观德之射——“争”与“不争”之间

Shooting with Morality:Between “Conflict” and “Harmony”

作为"六艺"之一的"射"艺在儒家哲学中被赋予了丰富的内涵,通过对乡射礼的具体描述,表明了"射中正鹄"要身与心同时修养及内正方能外直的思想。射箭竞技必然会带来输赢的判定,从而引起纷争,儒家将射箭过程充分地礼仪化,在"不争"中去化解"争",从而提倡"君子之争"。

As one of “six arts”,“shooting”is endowed with rich connotations in Confucian philosophy.It shows that“shot in the target”should be cultivated mentally and physically to attain honesty in both inner and outer parts of the body.Shooting will inevitably bring failures and successes which can give rise to con-flicts.Confucian philosophy advocates“conflicts between gentlemen”to resolve“conflict”in“harmony”by ritual process,so that when something unsatisfying happens,they reflect themselves first of all,instead of complaining others.When there are some conflicts,people can face them with courtesy and respect.
