TAI CHI:PERFECT EXERCISE FOR MIND, BODY, SOUL

摘要 Tai chi is one of the greatest gifts China has to share with the world. Shadow boxing, which involves the art of nurturing and the science of power, integrates the harmony of body and soul and the wisdom of traditional Chinese culture. Tai chi is an ancient, meditative form of exercise that began in China as one of the martial arts. During the mid-17th century, Chert Wangting, a martial arts master in Chenjiagou, a village in Central China's Henan Province, developed the form of boxing based on I Ching (Book of Changes) and TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) theories. Throughout the centuries, 太极拳是中国传统武术中的一种,它的每一个动作圆柔连贯,每一式都是绵绵不断,犹如太极图一样。这种融健身与修身养生于一本的运动蕴含着丰富的中国传统哲学思想和伦理观念。太极拳不仅仅是一种拳术,它更是一种文化,是力与美的艺术结合。
