‘秦红3号’是以高抗枯萎病的‘会圆1492’为母本、‘花美71301-209’为父本杂交选育的抗病黑皮西瓜新品种。该品种中熟,全生育期约96d,果实发育期32d。植株生长势健壮,抗枯萎病性强。坐果容易且整齐,果实椭圆形,果皮黑色,上覆深绿色中细条带,瓜瓤红色,瓤质脆,果实中心可溶性固形物含量11%、边部9%,中边梯度小。平均单瓜质量7.1kg,667m^2产量4373kg。适于我国大部分地区大棚种植及西北地区露地种植。2013年12月通过陕西省品种审定委员会鉴定,鉴定编号:陕瓜登字2013002。

‘Qinhong No. 3’is a new watermelon variety with dark skin developed by crossing inbred lines‘Huiyuan1492’ with‘Huamei 71301’. It is a mid maturing variety. The plant grows vigorously and resistant to Fusarium wilt. The total growing period is about 96 days,and the fruit development period is about 32 days. It sets uniform fruits easily. The fruit is oval shape,dark skin with deep black stripes. The red flesh is crisp with soluble solid contents 11%in center and 9%near skin. The average fruit weight is 7.1 kg. The yield per 667 m2 is about 4 373 kg. It is suitable for planting in greenhouse and open field in North China.
