连城县四堡乡曾是中国四大雕版印刷基地之一,但随着经济社会的发展,四堡雕版印刷逐渐走向衰亡。从经济学的角度分析得出四堡雕版印刷业崛起的四条原因是:书籍的市场需求旺盛、四堡具有发展雕版印刷业的区位优势、商品生产经营模式使区位优势转化为产品的市场优势和刻书免税的经济政策。

Sibao,Liancheng used to be one of the four woodblock printing bases in China. With the development of economy and society,the woodblock printing in Sibao gradually declined. This paper has discovered,after analyzing the reasons in a perspective of economics,four reasons for the rise of woodblock printing in Sibao i. e. increasing demand for books in the market,regional advantage in developing woodblock printing in Sibao,market advantage transformed from regional advantage and economic policy for free tax on publication.
