In recent years, gender studies of climate change has been a new interdisciplinary concern, which helps our understanding of the relationships between the climate change and mankind, especially women, and has much significance to the research of the impacts of climate change on the environment, human society and culture. At present, as an interdisciplinary research field, the theory of gender studies on cli- mate change falls into domains: the values, customs and institutions, knowledge and behavior; the research contents consist of three aspects: impacts of climate change on the female, the relationships between the female and climate change, the female response to climate changes; at the same time, it also has the attributes and characteristics of environmental, national, ethnic and cultural diversity. Future gender studies of climate change will have two focuses, that is, disciplinary and theoretical studies and their practical application.
