摘要
Founded in 1985 as the New York Zoological Society, the Wildlife Conservation Society （WCS） work for wildlife conservation around the world. WCS＇s famous representative Dr.William Beede did conservation work on pheasant in Yunnan Province in the 1930s. WCS＇s chief scientist Dr.George Schaller started his research in China, which signified WCS＇s long-term conservation work in China began. WCS China Program office set up at Shanghai in 1996 and moved to Beijing in 2005.
