The paper explains the production and application of bridge cable wire coated with Zn-5%A1-mixed rare earth alloy.Actual production shows the anti corrosion ability of the above wire is 2-3 times higher than common galvanized wire.Its machinability and formability and smearability are superior to hot galvanized wire.The strength loss caused by hot galvanizing can be avoided and good economic and social benefits are achieved.
