人类疾病动物模型资源数据库的构建,是为了使人们能够快速、准确地对动物模型资源进行筛选、分类,方便研究人员选择需要的动物模型,并能快捷联系提供动物模型的单位,节省了查询时间,提高了科学研究的效率。本数据库分为自发性动物模型数据库、诱发性动物模型数据库和基因工程动物模型数据库3部分,各部分都包含动物模型名称、编号、实验动物信息、模型制备信息、提供模型单位信息、支持文献信息等内容。通过对数据库功能和查询系统的构建,除为用户提供了查询服务,获取有用信息之外,亦对人类疾病动物模型资源信息化的发展和资源共享具有深远意义。
