傅葆琛与私立华西协合大学教育研究所的创办

Fu Baochen and the Establishment of the Educational Research Institute of West China Union University

抗战期间,借助因高校内迁而带来的教学、科研等方面的充实和加强,傅葆琛华在私立华西协合大学主持创办了教育研究所,主要从事乡村教育及乡村建设研究。作为一个私立教育研究机构,它因当时国家层面政策法规的缺失及教育学研究自身的边缘化特征而未能产生较大影响,但其颇具特色的乡村平民教育研究,仍为近代中国乡村教育的发展做出了突出贡献。

In virtue of the enrichment and reinforcement in teaching and scientific research obtained from the moving of universities and colleges inland during the War of Anti-Japan, West China Union University established the educational research institute in the charge of Fu Baochen which was engaged in the research on rural education and construction. As a private educational research institute, it didn＇t generate great significance in modem China because of the absence of national laws, policies and the marginalization of educational research itself, while its special research on rural mass education made a contribution to the development of rural education in modem China.
