On September 26,a piece of news rocked the global microchip industry:global microchip giant Intel and the Tsinghua Unigroup had established a partnership to develop a mobile solution based on Intel architecture and communication technology,in order to extend Intel-based products and applications further into China and across the globe.As part of the agreement Intel purchased a 20% stake in a Tsinghua Unigroup subsidiary holding company that owns Spreadtrum Communications and RDA Microelectronics for 9 billion yuan(1.5 billion USD).
