Mo Yan's Translation in Japan

莫言在日本的译介已走过近30年的历史,然而国内对莫言在日本的译介问题关注甚少,莫言日本译介方面的研究存在较大空间和价值。本文首先回顾日本译介莫言的历程,将其归纳为四个阶段,并逐一分析各阶段译介莫言的主要力量和特点,探讨莫言在日本受关注的原因,指出莫言日本译介研究中值得进一步探讨的课题。

It has been nearly three decades since Mo Yan＇s works were introduced to read- ers in Japan. However, the translation of Mo＇s works has drawn little attention. This paper first makes a review on the translation history of Mo＇s works in Japan, which falls into four periods. Main translators and translation features of Mo＇s works in each period will be ana- lyzed in detail. Why Mo＇s works drew attentions of Japanese readers is also studied. Final- ly, the paper points out some topics worthy of further discussion.
