摘要
作为与第一代现代新儒家同时期的学者,陈大齐对儒家思想的贡献表现在:第一,他认为孟子与荀子对人性的定义是"名同而义异"的,然就善与恶的论说,二儒的观点一致、相互符顺;第二,他建立了一套以"人生的安宁"作为践行美德之目的,以满足切己的、可实现的、普遍的与究竟的要求作为美德具体要求的儒家现代美德伦理学;第三,他对中外逻辑学的分析梳理,尤其是对荀子名学中概念的厘定及其作用的剖析贡献甚大。陈大齐的学术贡献有待于我们进一步整理和发掘。
In the period of the first generation ofmodernNeo-Confucians, the contributions ofCHEN Da-qi to Con- fucianism are as follows: Firstly, he believes that the definitions of humanity by Mencius and Xun Zi are "the same name in form but different in meaning". However, their thoughts are the same on the discourse of good and evil; Secondly, he has proposed a modem Confucian virtue ethic theory which uses "life of peace" as the purpose of prac- ticing the virtues and which uses self-interest, possibility of achievement, universality and intimacy as the needs of virtues; Thirdly, he has contributed a lot to the assortment of domestic and foreign logic theories, especially to the redefinition of the concept in the logic ofXun Zi. It is necessary for us to make a progress to organize and explore the academic contributions by CHEN Da-qi.
