With the constructions of elevated expressways in different cities,urban traffic has become more convenient,but a series of environmental issues such as light,noise,exhaust pollution have appeared. A reasonable cross section scheme should be chosen to reduce the influences of expressways on the existed environment. Combined with the construction of Wuhan Gusaoshu Rd.,the selecting process of cross section schemes of urban elevated expressways is discussed and relevant methods and experience are sum up in this paper.
