Antimicrobial peptides, a low molecular polypeptide, extensively exist in organisms. They have antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral activities. Besides, they can promote the immune response of the host, and therefore play an important role in the host protection. They are of great application value in clinical practice and have become a novel bacteriostatic agent due to their special action mechanisms and their effects on immunity.
