The RPG-HATPRO multi-channel ground based microwave radiometer is a kind of vertical atmospheric remote sensing temperature and humidity profiler.It utilizes atmospheric attenuation characteristics to inverse atmospheric temperature,humidity,water vapor density and liquid water profiles of both boundary layer and troposphere by means of neural network algorithm.It can provide comprehensive atmospheric observations and help for air quality forcasting and warning studies.This paper introduced the structure of the instrument,principles of measurement,operating procedures and common maintenances,based on practical using experiences.
