New migrant literature in North America has been developing for about 30 years since its inception in the 1980s. In this literature, writings about love have also been evolving with time. From the pursuit of love in The Icy River in the Jungle by Zha Jianying, through the questioning of it in Shoo nu xiao yu by Yan Geling and reflections on love in Watching the Moon by Zhang Ling to aspirations for love in The Sun Birds by Yu Xiu, the change of time hides behind the changing subject of love and is also an evolution of the cultural mentality of migrants.
