初中生英语口语交际策略使用情况调查

An Investigation of the Junior High School Students' Use of Oral English Communication Strategies

摘要 采用问卷调查法调查了85名初中学生英语口语交际策略的使用情况,结合学生口语测试成绩进行分析。研究结果表明,初中生英语口语交际策略使用情况属于中等偏下水平;女生迂回叙述策略和直接求助策略的使用频率高于男生,口语成绩低分组学生比高分组学生更加频繁使用副语言策略和直接求助策略;母语策略中的语种转换策略和母语直译策略与初中生英语口语成绩呈显著负相关关系。 By means of questionnaire survey carried among 85 Chinese junior middle school students, this paper investigates their use of oral English communication strategies and analyze its correlation with their oral English test score. Research findings show that the use of oral English communication strategies among junior middle school students belongs to the lower-intermediate level; the female students employ more frequently circumlocution strategy and direct appeal strategy than the male students; the low-score group employ more frequently paralanguage strategy and direct appeal strategy than the high-score group; there is a significant negative correlation between oral English test score of the junior middle school students and two L1-based strategies: code-switching and literal translation.
