The paper describes the design of motored track car for metro construction of Zhengzhou metro line 1, including design and calculations and selection of carframe, wheel-set, motor, transmission, gearshift, brake system and control apparatus. When mounting bracket is in use in the metro construction, if a platform is installed on the track car, drill and overhead contact wire adjustment operations can be carried out, as well as transport of less than 1.5t contact wire drums as well as on-site inspection.
