Colleen McCullough＇s novel The Thorn Bird has won deep appreciation of readers since its publication in1977 but with rare comments from literary critics. Although the author shows a sharp feminist stance,certain similar views with deep attachment to gender groups and women＇s destiny are still found by readers disappointedly,rendering the so- called Fatalism Thought. Resistance while compromise is considered to be the external embodiment of women writers＇ paradoxical thinking.
