摘要
随着无线网络中基于UDP的应用的急剧增长,提高传统UDP协议在无线网络中的性能已成为重要的研究课题。基于网络编码技术提出了一个新协议——UDP/NLT协议。该协议使用LT编码和网络编码技术对发送的数据包进行编码和解码,以减少因频繁的网络丢包对UDP性能造成不良影响,从而提高网络吞吐量。UDP/NLT协议不需改变原有协议栈结构和UDP语义,易于实现。在NS2中的仿真结果表明,UDP/NLT在几乎不增加网络延迟的前提下,在无线网络环境中比传统UDP有更好的传输性能。
With a rapid growth of UDP-based applications in wireless networks, how to improve the performance of UDP in wireless networks is becoming an important research topic. A novel protocol, named UDP/NLT,is proposed. This protocol uses LT code and network coding technique to encode and decode the packets in order to decrease the negative influence due to the frequent network packet loss, thus increasing the throughput. UDP/NLT does not change the existing protocol stack structure and se- mantics of UDP and hence come true easily. Analysis and simulations in NS2 show that the UDP/NLT has better throughput performance than traditional UDP,almost without increasing the network latency in wireless networks.
