Eco-feminism in “The Yellow Wallpaper”

夏洛特·帕金斯·吉尔曼将她的生态女性主义思想融入《黄色墙纸》的创作之中。小说通过第一人称"我"的叙述,流露出作家对隐含等级制和性别歧视的诸如男人与女人、理性与非理性、文化与自然、主体与客体、精神与肉体、太阳与月亮、日与夜等二元对立思想的痛斥。另外,作品还反映了实现人与自然以及人与人之间的永续共生的生态和谐。

Charlotte Perkins Gilman infuses her thought of eco-feminism into The Yellow Wallpaper. Through the narration of ＂I＂who is anonymous in the novel,this novel reflects Gilman＇s scathing attack on the thought of binary opposition of hierarchy and gender discrimination,such as male /female,rationality /irrationality,culture /nature,subject /object,spirit /body,sun /moon,day /night,etc.. Meanwhile,Gilman places her hope on the realization of harmonious coexistence between human and nature,male and female in the novel.
