Objective:To study the impact of the ifve elements of skeletal health gymnastics on the life quality of the elderly female patients with knee osteoarthritis. Methods:From January to June 2013, 68 cases with knee osteoarthritis were collected and divided into a research group with 32 cases and a control group with 36 ones. Both groups received the standard treatment based on oral glucosamine sulfate, but the research group conducted the ifve elements of skeletal health gymnastics practice at the same time. Results:As compared with those before treatment, WOMAC total score, VAS integration, motional function classiifcation of knee joints, the measurement of the range of painless motion of knee joints and the clinical results of the two groups were all obviously improved and their differences had the statistical signiifcance (P〈0.05). The life quality of patients in the research group was better than that in the control one. Conclusion:The ifve elements of skeletal health gymnastics have an exact effect for the elderly female patients with knee osteoarthritis without any side effect and are safe and reliable.
