Why does Neo-Confucianism Need the Philosophy of Culture-history

现代新儒家不仅深入诠释了传统儒学的心性智慧,而且做了传统儒学没有做过的事情,那就是构造系统的文化一历史哲学。现有研究对这种理论努力的特性缺乏仔细解释。对于儒家传统来说,高明的心性智慧与实际中国社会与文化之间的距离是一个根本性的问题,近代中国形势赋予这个问题以新的严重性。对梁漱溟的分析,显示这个问题的压力如何促使他构想关于中国文化与人类历史的哲学,从而表明理解这个问题如何能帮助我们理解现代新儒家的思想格局。

Modern Neo-Confucianism interpreted in depth the wisdom of traditional Confucianism and also constructed the philosophy of culture-history that the traditional Confucianism had not done, to which current researches pay few attention. This article emphasizes that, For the Confucian tradition, the gap between clever wisdom and actual Chinese society and culture is a fundamental problem and the Modern Chinese situation may exacerbate the problem. Further, it shows how Liang Shuming conceived the philosophy of Chinese culture and human history for addressing this fundamental problem, thus explains the reason why understand this problem can help us understand the thinking pattern of Modern Neo-Confucianism.
